This process enhances drainage and alleviates soil compaction, enabling water, air, and nutrients to reach the grass roots more efficiently, prompting them to penetrate deeper. This ultimately enhances the lawn's capacity to tap into deeper layers of moisture in the soil, leading to heightened drought resistance and overall lawn vitality. We strongly advocate for aeration at the outset of the program, followed by regular sessions in both spring and autumn. Aeration is arguably the paramount treatment for your lawn, playing a pivotal role in revitalizing weary turf.
Scarifying
Scarification is the optimal method for eliminating moss and thatch from your lawn. Our professional scarifying service effectively extracts the majority of moss and thatch, allowing ample room for robust grass growth. The recuperation period typically spans 4-6 weeks, contingent on prevailing weather conditions. Subsequently, you'll revel in a splendid, verdant lawn. We handle the removal of all green waste from the premises.
We conduct scarification during both Spring and Autumn, as these seasons offer ideal conditions for a vigorous post-scarification recovery. If you have any queries regarding the scarification process or are unsure whether your lawn would benefit from it, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We eagerly anticipate your contact!
Aeration
Fertiliser & Herbicide
We administer a season-specific granular fertilizer that doesn't require watering, along with a targeted herbicide designed to eliminate the specific weeds prevalent during this time of year. This herbicide is absorbed by the weeds, stimulating rapid growth that surpasses their natural resilience, ultimately leading to their demise. To maximize the effectiveness of this treatment, it's advised not to mow the grass for three days before and after application. Additionally, please ensure that any livestock that may graze on the grass stay off the lawn for two weeks following the treatment. Once dry, the lawn is completely safe for walking and recreational activities.
In either September or October, we implement a granular moss treatment to inhibit the germination of moss spores and eradicate any minor moss presence.
Then, in the months of November, December, and January, we apply our Winter treatment. This not only serves to prevent diseases but also contains soluble iron, imparting a beautiful, deep green hue to the lawn.
